Luxury farm stay glamping at the seaside!

From March to October we open our small tranquil glamping site on the farm. With just four luxury glamping pods in the grassy meadow it's a peaceful place to relax after a day at the seaside or exploring the Coastal Country Park. The Blue Flag sandy beaches and charming seaside villages of Sutton on Sea and Sandilands are just 15 minutes walk away! We have designed and built the pods ourselves so they have their own individual character and we hope you enjoy the beautiful space we have created. The pods are subtly themed to reflect the farm animals and wildlife you are likely to see on the farm.

All of the pods are self-catering and self-contained with an en suite toilet/shower room and fully equipped kitchen facilities, including a microwave, 2 ring hob, fridge, kettle and toaster. The pods are designed and positioned to take full advantage of natural solar heating but also have an electric heater and towel rail to keep you warm and snug. The pods have proper mattresses on the double beds with cosy duvets, pillows and bedding. The sofa beds are high quality and extremely comfortable to ensure everyone gets a good night’s sleep.

Sheep Pod and Cow Pod have a double bed and double sofa bed and comfortably sleep a flock/herd/family of 2 adults and 2 children.

Chicken Pod and Duck Pod have a double bed, bunk beds and a double sofa bed. Chicken Pod and Duck Pod will comfortably accommodate a flock/family of 2 adults and up to 4 children.

SAFETY: Please be aware that the bunk beds are only suitable for children aged 4-16 and must not be used by children under 4. In addition, only children aged 6-16 may use the top bunk.

The pods are well spaced out and extra privacy is provided by landscaped mounds, planted with bee and butterfly-friendly shrubs. There are wildlife belts throughout the site and you are likely to be visited by muntjac deer and pheasants. You’re just over the fence from Stanley the horse and his sheep friends. There is no vehicle access to the glamping pods themselves but the glamping car park is just a short walk away, this ensures a peaceful and safe site for everyone. Wheelbarrows are provided to help move your belongings to your pod.

We have added picket fences for 2023 so each pod now benefits from an enclosed garden.

We hope you will enjoy a wonderful glamping experience and take the opportunity to rest and relax in this peaceful spot.  We want you to be able to switch off from the world and reconnect with family, friends and nature so you’ll find no WiFi or TVs provided. Instead we encourage you to watch the amazing Lincolnshire sunsets or do a spot of star-gazing. The meadow is purposefully low-lit with only a few solar powered lights. If you’re lucky you might see the resident owl surveying his kingdom!

The pods replace the bell tents, for which we have consistently attained Superhost status on Airbnb since opening the glamping site in 2018 - this is an indication of our high standards of customer service, come and see for yourself!

Manor Farm Stay is managed in an environmentally sustainable way and this has been recognised by a Silver Award from Green Tourism. Building the pods ourselves has enabled us to source locally and repurpose materials where possible, upcycle second hand furniture and doors, and ensure that we’re always considering the energy efficiency of the pods. This is not necessarily the quickest way to build but it felt right. It smells good too…the wood is oiled, not painted, so it can breathe and it smells wonderful.

FAQs

Are you dog-friendly?
Yes, please let us know if you wish to bring a dog (maximum 2 dogs) and please read the dog rules. There is a supplement of £7 per dog per night. There is livestock grazing close by so dogs must be supervised at all times and must be on a lead when not in the enclosed garden.

Do you have hot tubs?
No. The large amounts of water, chemicals and energy required for hot tubs doesn't fit with our environmental sustainability principles.

Can you accommodate large parties?
This is a small peaceful farm stay and we welcome couples, families or solo travellers. We cannot accommodate large parties, hen or stag parties etc.
